It was a joyous and proud moment as the client and the members of the Bemis Asia Pacific, Subang Jaya Project group sat down together on the 23rd of January 2018 to officially handover the completed project scope. It was the first project in Malaysia by Unique Construction Consultant which were engaged by Bemis Asia Pacific, a global supplier of flexible packaging used by leading food, consumer products, healthcare, and other companies worldwide, as the Project Management Consultants for the task of consulting and managing the construction of their double storey new plant as well as the relocation of their process machines and various departments to the newly constructed plant. The meeting was attended by the Director of Operations for Bemis Asia Pacific, Mr. Tew Serm Choon and Unique Construction Consultant, Deputy General Manager, Mr. Chin Tee Seng who flew in to Malaysia to participate together in the occasion with the respective project team of Unique Construction Consultant, Mr. Jeremy Low and Mr. Sem Goeh.
The meeting was called as a final handover session for the newly constructed plant of the packaging and printing conglomerate built on a 10,991 meter squared land in Jalan Subang 5, Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia consisting of a built up area of 10,875.95 meter square of production area, laboratories, warehouse and offices. The new plant was designed and built as a system itself with differential air pressure catering at the highest in the production area and gradually dropping to the external plant perimeter in order to ensure that no external air and dust enters into the new plant. The visitor-friendly plant also proudly exhibits a viewing corridor beginning from the front to the rear of the plant on both ground and first floor allowing visitors to view the production operation without entering into the controlled environment production rooms, as well as a modernly featured interior designed office with three multipurpose rooms for use of the employees and visitors. The newly built ISO Class 8 Cleanroom occupies a space of 1,292 meter square on the first floor of the plant designed with temperature, relative humidity and particle counts control to cater for their requirements for pharmaceutical and food packaging standards. Successfully relocated, Bemis Asia Pacific is now proudly operating at the new site with the approved Certificate of Completion and Compliance as issued from the Professional Engineer and the various authoritative departments and councils.
